While pursuing her Doctorate, she also took care of patients at the Salvation Army Outreach Clinic and volunteered for the Florida Veterans Foundation, where she provided chiropractic care to homeless Veterans. The chiropractic techniques she utilizes include: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop Technique and Activator Methods. Christopher Garden

Christopher Garden

DC

Christopher Garden, Doctor of Chiropractic, has been treating patients with the Desert Clinic Pain Institute, Summit Institute, and the Center of Excellence since March 2017.   He thoroughly enjoys working with patients and is passionate about introducing them to how important chiropractic can be as part of their healing process. Every day, he has an opportunity to help relieve his patient’s pain, make a positive change in their day, or put a smile on their face without the use of drugs or surgery.

Dr. Garden was in private practice in Wasilla, Alaska for 17 years and currently runs Coronado Island Chiropractic in San Diego.

Growing up he was fortunate to have a great medical doctor and chiropractor influencing his health. While playing hockey in the tenth grade he suffered a serious spinal injury.  The medical doctors said he may never walk again, but his family chiropractor had other ideas.  After numerous adjustments, not only did Dr. Garden walk again, but he went on to play college hockey and club rugby.

As a freshman at S.U.N.Y Oswego, his Lakers team defeated legendary Miracle on Ice Coach Herb Brooks and the St. Cloud State Huskies to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III finals where they lost to Plattsburgh State.  Dr. Garden then played Division I hockey at Northeastern University in Boston.  He also played club rugby during and after his studies at “The Fountainhead,” Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa.

From the moment of his injury, Dr. Garden was instilled with a passion to pursue and participate in the great profession of chiropractic.  He believes that proper spinal health is crucial since every cell, organ, muscle, and body function is controlled by the central nervous system.  Life is lived through the nervous system and if there are subluxations (misalignments) in the spine then there is a direct impact on nervous system and body, which can cause pain and dysfunction.

Dr. Garden believes that chiropractic care restores the natural function of the human body and can help everyone live the life they were meant to live.

Dr. Garden has been married to Julie for 15 years; they have a daughter Kendall, and sons Eston and Vinton. When not in the office, he enjoys cooking, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family.

I grew up in Switzerland and have always been a sports enthusiast. I was introduced to the Feldenkrais Method many years ago, a system that enhances awareness of body mechanics and restrictive habits through the medium of guided physical movement. This was a life changing experience and motivated me to become certified in the method. I applied the principles of the Feldenkrais Method into training and athletic fields such as the highly technical game of golf. It helped me how to use less effort overall and ultimately learn to play golf with a fluid yet powerful swing. I am happy to share my experience with you and how to approach complex functional movements in an non-traditional way that goes beyond what’s often thought as impossible. Let me help you find Your movement potential, how to play better golf or any sports and improve your overall well-being.

Daniel began my professional life with a BA in Biology, working in environmental chemistry and then in the molecular modeling/ drug discovery software industry.  He received his MTOM (Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine), from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1999. Since then, Daniel has spent much of his time in private practice in North Coastal San Diego County; honing his skills in Tung’s family acupuncture and Chinese Herbal formulas.  He enjoys treating a variety of disorders ranging from internal medicine to neurologic disorders, and both acute chronic and pain.  In his leisure time, he enjoys bike riding on the coast with his wife, goofing off with his son, playing with his 2 Australian Shepherds, hiking, gardening, and playing music with friends.

Daniel joined the Desert Clinic Pain Institute team in Jan 2017 and has received much positive reaction to acupuncture.  One of the things that Daniel loves to see is the disbelief on someone’s face when perhaps they  may have doubted that they could find any help.  It also thrills him to see someone a year later, who is in a better place. Perhaps they’ve left their walker behind, or they may have gone back to work, or they see that they don’t have to be on as many pain medications.  Daniel says that his ideal patient, is one whom desires to be off of pain meds, whom is willing to follow their treatment plan and follow lifestyle advice that will help them achieve their goals in getting and remaining healthy.

Your Pain Is Our Priority!

In Our Patient's Words

  • ★★★★★ I have been a patient of Dr. Leng Ky for a couple of years now.  He is the only pain management specialist I've ever had who does everything in his power to help me.  My pain is very complicated due to my other health issues and my other medications. In my opinion, he is the most caring and most professional pain management physician I have ever been treated by.
    Matthew R.
  • ★★★★★ I couldn't be more pleased and impressed. The office staff are amazing, always greeting with a smile and very kind. They get to know each patient personally and address you by name which gives a sense of caring and welcoming vibe. They go above and beyond, to be helpful in any way they can, and have genuine care and concern for patients...they offer a variety of ways to manage pain aside from a pharmaceutical way. The program offers services such as massage, chiropractic, naturopathic, tai chi, group therapy, behavioral health, acupuncture, and much more.  Over all, if I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking a way to manage pain.
    Desi M.
  • ★★★★★ Love the staff...from the secretaries up front, to the docs in the back.  Always smiling and friendly, even though it is a somewhat high-stress environment trying to treat all of us that can sometimes be hard to deal with and irritable due to our conditions. Especially love, love, love Dr. Paul and Dr. Rabb...they really do care and believe what you tell them. The multi-pronged approach is awesome. Lucky to have this place in my life...thank you!
    Jessica L.
  • ★★★★★ I'm so pleased with the care I received as a new patient. They have a team full of smiling faces, compassionate people, and knowledgeable of different types of pain. It's horrible to go through life everyday in pain as it is, so having an amazing medical team behind you makes it that much better! I'd recommend this office to everyone in pain. Please give them a try and they won't disappoint!
    Jasmine N.
  • ★★★★★ Pleasant and helpful staff. Doctors who truly care about you. I have been treated not as a patient which they are being paid to see, but as a person with legitimate pain who needs their help. Dr. "Toby" Tobias Moeller-Bertram is a pain management physician that other doctors within this field should aspire to be much more like. I have, and will continue to recommend Desert Clinic Pain Institute to everyone in need of quality, compassionate care for pain. Simply excellent!
    Rebecca K.
  • ★★★★★ Best pain management in the Valley!! You actually get to see the doctors. They are good doctors too. If you feel you want a change they listen and offer solutions. I have seen Dr. Moeller-Bertram and he is wonderful, very down to earth. All the doctors and staff are very nice and understanding. This is a great place for patients with fibro.
    Dorothy F.
  • ★★★★★ Ok where do I start - first I will say the ladies, who run the office are like diamonds - they are so helpful, considerate, caring and they know exactly what they are doing. I need to say the men in the office also do. They both make going to this office a great experience. The Doctors are top of the line. They also have a great way of making you feel hopeful again if you have been suffering for years from excruciating pain like I have. You will be beyond satisfied at every level. This clinic is a hidden jewel in the desert. Thank you everyone at Desert Clinic for all you do.
