Daniel began my professional life with a BA in Biology, working in environmental chemistry and then in the molecular modeling/ drug discovery software industry. He received his MTOM (Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine), from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1999. Since then, Daniel has spent much of his time in private practice in North Coastal San Diego County; honing his skills in Tung’s family acupuncture and Chinese Herbal formulas. He enjoys treating a variety of disorders ranging from internal medicine to neurologic disorders, and both acute chronic and pain. In his leisure time, he enjoys bike riding on the coast with his wife, goofing off with his son, playing with his 2 Australian Shepherds, hiking, gardening, and playing music with friends.
Daniel joined the Desert Clinic Pain Institute team in Jan 2017 and has received much positive reaction to acupuncture. One of the things that Daniel loves to see is the disbelief on someone’s face when perhaps they may have doubted that they could find any help. It also thrills him to see someone a year later, who is in a better place. Perhaps they’ve left their walker behind, or they may have gone back to work, or they see that they don’t have to be on as many pain medications. Daniel says that his ideal patient, is one whom desires to be off of pain meds, whom is willing to follow their treatment plan and follow lifestyle advice that will help them achieve their goals in getting and remaining healthy.
